WIPER SEALS

1989-2002 twin lipped wiper seal. Blue coloured. Simply clips into aluminium fork housing at head of carbon leg. Single lipped low friction ‘race’ version no longer available. Kit of 2; £25.00

2003 on. Garter seal wiper. Black coloured with garter spring. Must be silicone sealed direct into carbon slider (please follow brief outline given in Support & Trouble Shoot or more detailed info in Manuals- 2004&2005 XCFR). Kit 2; £29.95

The RC35XCS models are the original classic (and now collectable) Pace elastomer fork. Low tech elastomer spring technology by todays standard- although the Microcellular elastomers actually had a built in damping characteristic, none the less the XCS was hand built and engineered to higher standards than most mass produced forks of today. With unique carbon sliders and the first ever rear mounted bridge Rc35 models were way ahead of their time and many thousands are still in everyday use today. Models shown above are 2003 and 2004- 2002 and earlier are identifiable by having a black tubular bridge (early versions with wheel rather than brake rocker) and also using a bonded on mount for lower end of bridge as opposed to a circular clamp.

These are the only parts currently in stock for this model of fork. Parts are compatible with all XCS model years unless otherwise stated. Please note disc-brakes cannot be retro-fitted to XCS models as they predate the international disc-mount standards.

RC35 Monobox MXC, MXCD and MD 1995-1996

The Monobox models featured a range of technical updates over the earlier XCS model. Given this model could be uprated with an optional hydraulic damper the springs were homogenous elastomer type (without a damping characteristic), now had dual fork bridges (a first) and also featured the first hollow section crown, a design which set industry standards for the next ten years. MXC was a short 45mm travel cross country race fork, MXCD a trail ready 65mm and the MD a downhill 80mm travel model! Please note disc-brakes cannot be retro-fitted to Monobox models as they predate the international disc-mount standards.
